Cab and Electrical Systems Cosmetic work : The cab was removed from the loco in early in 1998 completely stripped and the electrical cubicle removed. As you will see from the photos at the end of this section, the cab has found itself stored at all kinds of jaunty angles! The rebuild has included new insulation and pegboard interior panels. All woodwork trim fabricated from scratch and finished with paint and varnish as appropriate. New cab flooring has been manufactured. The centre roof section overhauled including resealing, strip and paint. Window frames, doors and glazing was removed and has been renovated, checked and test fitted. Wiper motor adapter plates have been fabricated and new motors sourced, the old ones were shot at! Final fitting will include refurbished seats, laying of the new flooring and re-glazing.
