The equally complex task of distributing the various connections around the loco from the cab being the next job once cab and frames were permenantly together again. Plans for the new air system pipework had to be drawn up to make sure they could fit around the underside of the cab. D9531 was fitted with Vacuum only train brakes but is being rebuilt with dual brake capacity (Air and Vacuum), making it a much more versatile locomotive. Cab floor (all new) has been cut.
