Loco Information D9531 - [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ Photos ] Jobs already complete : (cont) 'A' end nose cowl has been cleaned, painted and refitted to the loco. Reverser modifications were necessary as the original pistons were worn out and replacement parts scarce to say the least. A bigger piston has been installed and a set of spares purchased for the future. New Tyco's have been cut and fitted. Cab refitted 10.01.2005 along with side frames on 'A' end (Power Unit end) also 'A' end fire system pipework and electrical conduit refitted. New Main Res and Automatic Air Train Pipe has been installed and air cocks attached to both buffer beams (D9531 was Vacuum only but is being rebuilt as dual (Air & Vacuum) braked). [ next >>> ] |
